**Job Title: Shipping Clerk** **Job Description** The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of shipping activities. **Responsibilities** + Print and review a list of materials scheduled for shipping daily. + Construct boxes and utilize pick lists to gather necessary items from the warehouse. + Package orders for shipment ensuring packaging is professional in appearance and packaged properly to ensure safe arrival to customers; complete checklist verifying that all items are included in shipment. + Disperse packages to the proper shipping channel including DHL, UPS, FedEx, and ground and/or freight carriers. + Utilize the arranged shipping or logistics methods and employ the most cost-effective channel if unspecified. + Update systems with accurate shipping information including shipping company, ship date, cost, and tracking numbers. + Utilize and update proprietary operational system and related spreadsheets. + Kit materials and affix the proper shipping labels. + Perform administrative functions related to the processing and shipping of products which may include reports, data entry, scanning, transmittals, correspondence, photocopies, communication, filing, organization, and/or resolution of shipment or customer service issues. + Place pallets in staging area for shipping or load truck as needed. + Communicate effectively with other departments including sales coordination, deployment, and accounting. + Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe working environment. + Serve as backup to receiving, inventory, and the general warehouse as needed. + Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. **Essential Skills** + 1-3 years' prior experience working in a warehouse environment. + Knowledge of computers. + Ability to stand in the same position 50% of the time. + Ability to lift 25 lbs. + Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects. + Ability to be self-motivated and independent. + Strong communication skills (word, excel, outlook). + Self-starter/motivated. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Inventory management. + Experience with receiver and warehouse operations. + Experience in shipping and receiving. + Knowledge of pallet jack operations. + Order picking and packing experience. + Experience with material handling. + Forklift operation. + Experience using RF scanners. **Why Work Here?** This is a super nice, clean, and innovative company that values a positive work environment. **Work Environment** The position is based in a clean, well-lit warehouse environment with a secure area where no electronics are allowed. The work schedule is from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
